cerebrospinal fluid and fine needle aspirations (FNA). Fine needle aspiration
biopsy is performed in the FNA clinic in Same-Day Surgery by board-certified

Pathology
Provides diagnostic service for all surgical specimens,
endoscopies and biopsies. This service is available to the Georgetown University

Electron Microscopy
Ultrastructural analysis to diagnose renal disease, cancer and infectious
disease.
Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory
A comprehensive diagnostic laboratory that provides
molecular-based tests for cancer, infectious disease, and genetics. Tests
include flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, DNA hybridization, ELISA,
estrogen/progesterone receptors, Southern Blot, DNA analysis of solid tumors and
image analysis.
